Nano Banana is an independent reference site about Google's hosted Gemini image models and separately released open-weight alternatives. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.

What this site tries to make clear

• A local Python client can call a cloud model; that does not make the model local or offline.
• Model identity, capabilities, pricing, license, and hardware claims should link to current provider documentation, official repositories, or model cards.
• Third-party rankings are dated snapshots rather than permanent quality claims.
• A visual example is not called a reproducible benchmark unless the necessary inputs, model versions, settings, and selection method are actually recorded.

Evidence labels

Provider claims describe what an official source says. Third-party benchmark data is identified as such. First-party examples disclose the files and parameters that are available, as well as important missing data. Results can vary by model version, settings, hardware, and provider updates.
